1 September 2013 | Added videos of Lana, the new ferret of our daughter and her husband to YouTube. They have had ferrets in the past, so Luca and Kenji know what animal Lana is. Now we have to wait and see how she is going to react to them and how they are going to react to her............
18 August 2013 | Placed video "Luca & Kenji Zwemmen" (Swimming) on YouTube.
6 August 2013 | Last Friday, after a very hot day, we decided to take the dogs out for
a swim. Kenji, taken into considerations it’s a sheltie, likes water
(certainly when it’s dirty). Luca not so much (he doesn’t hate it, but
to swim into it….) When we arrived at the ‘beach’ and took the dogs out of the car, we found Kenji to be very enthusiastic. He ran immediately towards the water and didn’t hesitate to enter it. We didn’t expect any reservations, but this level of enthusiasm was a surprise. Luca, in a normal pace, also approached the water and he also entered it, but only a little bit. When I was getting into the water, Kenji immediately followed me to the deeper part, so he had to start swimming. I was, in the water, busy with Kenji facing away from the beach when I heard some splashing behind me. This wasn’t a surprise since it was a ‘dog beach’ and it was rather crowded. Then my daughter warned me: Watch out - Luca is swimming towards you. I turned around and yes, there was Luca. He had - totally voluntarily - entered the water and came swimming towards me. We obviously praised him (words are all Luca needs) and for many days thereafter he has been very proud of what he did that day. |
